「テラ豚丼」
ケータイのＣＭだったか。「誰でもいいんです！」…実に象徴的な言葉だ。
吉野家で「テラ豚丼」なる問題が起きた。モラルとか食の大切さとかいう次元でなく、問題なのはそういう悪ふざけができる環境、すなわち管理体制ということだ。
機械化の時代。専門職も、融通の効く従者もいらない。それより安さを求めた。サービスに統一価値である金額をつけることをした。だから、誰でもよくなる。全国一律の味でもよくなる。
君じゃなきゃ、というのは上層に行かないと手に入らない。
何者かであろうとする。機会均等の、誰でも上に行ける自由社会。だからこそ、溢れてこぼれ落ちる下流社会。まさしくテラ豚丼だ。
それでも何者かになろうとして、しかし誰でも思いつく次元であがくしかない。愚かだ。
「大食い社会に警鐘を」「この売り上げを貧困国に」とか言えばいいのに。「バイトの分際で企画なんて」とボヤくんだろうな。努力もしないで。愚かだ。実に愚かだ。

「テラ豚丼」？ 聞いたことがない言葉です。さすがに、時代の最尖端をいく言葉には、シャッポをぬぎます！

一昨日たまたま子供に頼まれて吉野家行ったら
牛丼50円引きで何だか凄く得した気分になって

Hey. I was truly intrigued by your post as it paralleled many of my own thoughts and circumstances.First, yes, I am a Testament fan. I have been — and I know this will age me — since The Legacy (I still have the vinyl) came out. in '84, I re-picked up the guitar to play metal. Randy Rhoads and Gary Holt led me to Andre Segovia, Fernando Sor, etc. which led me to going to SIUE for a degree in classical guitar performance. After a few years, I switched to jazz guitar performance listening to Charlie Christian, Wes, Pat Martino, Bucky Pizzarelli, Metheny, etc.Yes, I like 'better' coffee — Caribou being my favorite right now — and think Starbucks is overrated (their stuff always taste too burnt to me). Also, I have played my share of metal, although not nearly to the success you have had — current band is called Sense Datum (cheap north face denali http://www.xmrsmkulim.org/).I don't care for motorcycles either. But I do like my 1955 Chrysler which is not souped up but rather in original condition.And finally, I love to read. Hopefully, my personal library will be online in the future with books, fiction and non-fiction ranging from the 1700s to present. This while earning my MLS and working at a research library; I've given up the rockstar dream and am ready to earn a regular salary.Now, the big difference. At plenty of club gigs over the years, I have met just the type of women you mention. As you said, while they are nice — except the time at a Marti Gras gig when a drunk women kept hanging onto me between songs asking if I liked Janis Joplin — they're just not for me. Fortunately, it has never been a problem as I met my wife nearly 20 years ago while still in high school. So I've never had to try to find the right person. I don't want to give advice and can only say, you will eventually meet the right women.I just thought your take on life was ironically close to mine. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see you perform the next time you roll through St. Louis with either the Testament or the Trio band. Cheers.
